On 22nd May 2026, IcFEM Dreamland Mission Hospital successfully held a Maternity Open Day under the theme “Choose Safe & Skilled Delivery at IcFEM Dreamland Mission Hospital.” The event brought together 62 expectant mothers, 25 Traditional Birth Attendants (TBAs), and 3 Community Health Promoters (CHPs) for maternal and newborn health education, engagement, and facility familiarization.
The programme included health talks on the importance of ANC, safe delivery, postnatal care, breastfeeding, immunization, and birth preparedness, alongside interactive Q&A sessions, fun activities, guided tours of the maternity and newborn units, testimonies, and prize-giving sessions.
Participants received various gifts including branded IcFEM DMH lesos for mothers and branded work bibs for TBAs, as well as baby and maternal care items such as wet wipes, soap, baby bibs, maternity diapers, baby socks, and baby trousers. The hospital also showcased its Comprehensive Maternity Pack, demonstrating the support offered to mothers delivering at the facility. The package included a baby basin, baby blanket, maternity diaper pack, baby soap, soap dish, baby wash cloth, baby diapers, baby Vaseline, and a branded IcFEM DMH leso.
During the event, 20 expectant mothers benefited from ultrasound scan services, while others received gynecological consultations and ANC clinic services from the medical team.
The event successfully strengthened community awareness, promoted facility-based skilled delivery, and enhanced partnerships between the hospital, TBAs, CHPs, and expectant mothers.
