With a fully functional modern theatre block featuring specialized operating rooms and an expanding critical care capacity, DMH is committed to delivering comprehensive surgical care closer to the community.
Our modern theatre complex currently includes a General Operating Theatre, a dedicated Pediatric Operating Theatre, and a specialized Orthopaedic Operating Theatre, enabling our teams to handle a wide range of procedures efficiently and safely. From emergency surgeries and trauma management to planned elective procedures, our experienced surgeons, anesthetists, theatre nurses, and support staff work together using modern equipment and evidence-based practices to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients. The hospital also offers 24-hour emergency surgical services, making DMH a dependable destination for urgent and lifesaving interventions.
In addition to our current surgical capacity, IcFEM DMH is investing in the future of specialized care through the development of a High Dependency Unit (HDU) currently under construction. This upcoming facility will strengthen our ability to manage critically ill surgical patients requiring close monitoring and advanced post-operative support. The HDU will enhance patient safety, improve recovery outcomes, and further position DMH as a Centre of excellence for surgical and emergency care within the region.
